Fridge Died in under 3 Months

About 2 months after we got our fridge the ice cream started melting in the freezer. We put thermometers in both the freezer and fridge. Both compartments temps continued to rise until they were room temp. The compressor failed. We had to throw out many $$$s worth of food. We are currently waiting for our replacement fridge.

Broke in less than 24 months

We bought it from Costco thankfully because they provide an extended warranty. About 6 weeks before the extended warranty was set to expire the compressor broke. It took them a week to come out to look at it and we had to wait another 4 days for the parts. I was told we could get a refund for the food we lost which was a lot. Its taken 2 months multiple calls and multiple calls with excessive hold times over 75 mins once. I still have not received my reimbursement for the food lost.

Great product 2018-2023 then ICE maker heater froz

We really enjoyed the fridge for years. March 2023 I called an appliance repair company to diagnose why the fridge would not make ice. They diagnosed it with the help from LG and determined that the ice maker heating element is frozen AND IT CANNOT BE REPAIRED As the heating element is part of the BODY of the fridge in the foam. Therefore we are going to defrost the fridge to see if that allows the ice maker to work again. But we were told the old fix this came from LG is to buy a NEW FRIDGE How terrible and waste of a relatively new fridge. NO WORD from LG on a product resolution or $$ of a new one or anything.

New French 22 cu.ft. Fridge

I bought this about 2 months ago. Its really nice and works well. My only issue I have is the gallon or half gallon milk container does not fit inside the fridge without removing or placing the lowest tray to the higher position. If you position the tray higher you can only fit shallow items on that tray. Otherwise the milk will be placed in the door compartment which is not the best place for dairy because its the farthest from the cold.

I purchased lg refg in late2021. The unit stopped working in early jsn2023. Had a hard time trying to get service dept to act. Took about2 weeks still no technician. I called around found a lg repair company. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. I purchased a lg refg in 2013. Lasted till2021. Worked well. Rrpkaced it because it was rusting on the inside. Hsve sr real lg appliances recommend products to others.

Ive had this for 6 weeks now and Im so pleased with it. Its very quiet so much so that I wonder if its even on at times. The storage options are great particularly the glide and serve drawer. I rearranged the shelves to my liking but I do wish the left door had more options as I keep my Brita pitcher there and that leaves me with just one other shelf. Im used to having a bottom freezer which is great but Ive never had a drawer always a door. That is taking so adjusting but Im happy with how much it holds. No regrets

Continuing problem with temperature control

We have had two service personnel come to work on the problem of freezing produce. The first had us turn the temp to 39. The second changed a small part explaining it regulates the defrosting which is causing our problem. He changed the refrigerator temperature back to 37. Unfortunately we noticed the outside of fruits cantaloupe watermelon frosted. Just today we used a package of romaine lettuce and cucumbers both having some frost problems. The tops of Romaine were frosted and the outer part of 3 cucumbers were frosted. I had put the temperature to 38 when the second service call didnt work. We will have to call for service again.

Love my new French door refrigerator

I absolutely love my new French door refrigerator. I love the pull out drawer to put all my water bottles and soda in. The two drawers above are deep and roomy. All drawers are so easy to pull out they glide out so nice. I love that the refrigerator sings to me when it is left open too long. I really love the pull out freezer. I did not like my old tegrthay I had to swing open the door and reach in. The ice cubes are a great size too.

Bought this 22 CU FT 3 door FRE stainless steel refrigerator 5 years ago. I have not been happy with the frig. Its difficulty to keep it clean if not cleaned regularly it looks ugly the door wont close and all door bins starts breaking apart after one year. Replacement parts are very expansive.

LG French Door Fridge

I would prefer one door as I usually have to open both. The 2 doors have limited storage. We often have to lay something on its side on the shelves. I love the lower freezer drawer. Everything is immediately visible and easy to get to. It holds a lot The fridge makes noises that we are getting used to.

Really like the spacious shelves

awful worst refrigerator I ever bought. Will never buy another LG ever. The compressor and the mother board died after just 4 years. Getting service was a night mare. No wants to do LG service.

Perfect size for my house

30 wide perfect. We removed a shelf easily to make room for some our larger bottles. We didnt hook up the ice maker as we need the room for more frozen products. After the crew took off all the protective wrappings the finger prints were easily removed. The front is non-magnetic only the sides but thats ok. We can still see our grocery list and reminders.

Wonderful for a small kitchen yet lots of storage

I found out that older homes mine was built in 1930s and some apartments have smaller doors making standard sized refrigerators too big by 1 inch. If you have a smaller space this fridge is perfect for you and I appreciate that it is a no-frills classic fridge no water dispenser or ice maker on the doors that just add to the maintenance and clean up.

Downsizing and remodeling

My husband I have been in home for 30yrs. Was time to upgrade and remodel the house. Our contractor noticed that our fridge was larger than the space. We chose the LG 30 with icemakerwe had never had one and French doors. What a difference it has made space is organized and no dripping ice cube trays. LOVE my LG

We bought this almost a month ago and found that it fits perfectly in our space for it which was not easy to find. It has so far filled all of our hopes. It is larger in capacity than our old refrigerator and having the freezer on the bottom makes it much better for me. I cannot bend down well. I can now easily see what is in the refrigerator without bending down. We use the refrigerator much more than the freezer making my life so much better. The freezer has more than enough space for all we need.

Compressor Failed

Never notified of this known mechanical defect when I purchased this fridge. Sitting here working on getting my fridge repaired properly since it went out on 9.1.2022. Next to impossible to get to appropriate to escalate. Spending hundreds of dollars on eating out while sitting here waiting for someone to fix my fridge. They dont care. I was thrilled when I first bought this fridge and believed the misleading advertising claim about the new type of functionality that this model of fridge had including bluetooth functionality. Meanwhile sitting here with a cooler and filling with ice daily from the store just to keep some items cool without freezing like milk.

This came with a townhouse I purchased. I could not have been more pleased because the unit keeps food at appropriate temperature and has so much space. Shelves can be easily cleaned and adjusted to accommodate all items.

When will LG provide a decent compressor?

I purchased this refrigerator in February of 2019 and it stopped cooling on Labor Day 2022. We had wisely purchased an extended warranty from the store and a technician was able to come right away. He said that the compressor had failed. In reading reviews I now know that LG compressors are not reliable. We lost a refrigerator and freezer full of food and although well be reimbursed $200 per the warranty it doesnt come close to reimbursing what we lost especially during these days when inflation is such a problem. We loved the refrigerator and its large capacity is a plus. However going forward we will be vigilant in checking to make sure that its cooling because we know that one day this compressor will fail as well. Will not buy LG in the future.

Product not matching the price

I had to buy this fridge after my previous LG Fridge failed. The compressor suddenly stopped working and the cost to replace it almost matched the cost to buy a new one. I am sad I had to replace it with an LG. It was the only one that fit in the space I have. I hope to have this fridge a long time. If not I would rather renovate my kitchen than buy another LG product. The wide drawer at the bottom of the fridge makes no sense. I am constantly needing both doors open to access item which I think is pointless. Everything is bulky and there is not a good configuration to fit taller items in the fridge without removing one of the shelves. I also find the pockets at the very bottom of the doors SUUUUUUUUUUUUPER pointless. I know you all can do better than that. Like I said this purchase was a lack of options and you are very lucky you got my business.

Replacement refrigerator with model for good reas

I replace my long ago purchased LG refrigerator freezer with the same model. The new one is identical except for improvements such as split shelves and clear fronted bins. Ive been so pleased with LG products that Ive replaced my washer and TV to great satisfaction as well. I even bought my sister in Colorado a new LG washer for upstairs so that she wouldnt have to go down treacherous stairs for her old laundry. Shes thrilled as well. I highly recommend LG products from my past experience for design and longevity.

A new lease of life..

I bought my LG 22 cu ft refrigerator in 2018 and I am doing this review in 2022. It has worked very well for my family over this period and is still like new. Only issue I had and reason for not giving it a 5 star is that the compressor packed up this year.. but the good news is that it was still under warranty and LG sent a technician who provided and changed the part without any cost to me and this was done on a timely basis. My refrigerator now has a new lease of life.

I purchased 12/2018. At first I was very pleased with this product. However on August 12 2022 l noticed the contents of the freezer were not freezing properly Since I had purchased a 3yr extended warranty from LG I called to request service and was told I would hear from a technician within 24 hrs. I also purchased a 5 yr service from the store I purchased the refrigerator from so I called and they sent a technician out the same day.He said the compressor needed to be replaced. He was able to order the part and was here in August 17 to do the repair The LG technician finally called while the repair was in progressed . In the mean time I lost most of the food in the freezer and fridge When this refrigerator goes the next time you can be sure I will not be purchasing an LG
